Maths Mate Question 15

The problem was to find the number pattern and the next two numbers in the sequence.

The number sequence in the problem is 2, 3, 6, 11 and 18.

I solved it by finding the difference between eash pair of numbers in the sequence.

The difference between 2 and 3 = 1, 3 and 6 = 3, 6 and 11 = 5, 11 and 18 = 7.

I found the numbers were going up by two.

So the answer to the next two numbers in the sequence is 18 + 9 = 27, 27 + 11 = 38.
